Congratulations to another guild first! We have defeated ICC-10 Sindragosa and had our first taste of the Lich King (who we just eked out of his first phase). Tanks were Desdemonica and Razoress, healers were Ewki, Majika, and Sympatador, melee were Deatha, Sinhartha, Telwar, and Volkyn, and our token ranged toon was Darrious.

Thanks to everyone who participated in tonight's guild's first kill of Rotface in 25-player.  And a nice job on improving in execution, especially to those who hadn't seen the fight before.  Let's retain that knowledge for the next time!

Good news everyone!  The guild has had its first kills of these two end wing bosses!  Congratulations to the following toons who participated:

The professor kill was particularly impressive, given that it is heavy on execution for the first 65% of the fight and several people had not seen the fight before.

VolckerBLOOD PRINCE COUNCIL DISSOLVED (25-player ICC)

Congratulations to everyone who participated in tonight's guild-first kill of the Blood Prince Council in the 25-man setting of Icecrown Citadel!  Not only did we accomplish the fight with only 23 members, but we received The Orb Whisperer achievement.  

Thanks to everyone who stuck through an hour's worth of attempts to get them down!

For future groups, Volcker suggested a change that made getting the orbs MUCH easier: in your video settings, change "particle density" to the lowest setting. That makes the green "clouds" into much more easily seen green orbs.

MorendoDev Null get together in St. Louis in March

Josh and Sarah will be visiting St. Louis the weekend of March 12th-14th.  The plan is to have a shindig on Saturday the 13th with as many folks as can make it.  Traditionally we've gone out to a bar or to Dave and Busters -- but this time we're going to rent facilities near J.D and Eric's apartment and host it there.   Please see the post on the guild business forums for more information, or contact one of us in game.

Last night we completed our guild first clear of the first four bosses in Icecrown in 25 man.  We had killed 3 of 4 last week, and this week tried a couple new things for Saurfang.  Congratulations guys!

This week both of the 10man groups we sent into Icecrown were able to fully clear.  Well done folks!

We also found out that last week Marrowgar-10 was hitting the tanks for the same amount as Marrowgar-25.  We still managed to pull 2 groups past him, so great job!

Last night we took 3 groups into 10-man Icecrown.  Two of the groups were able to kill Marrowgar but it took a couple hours for both.  This is tough content folks so make sure you stock up on flasks and learn how the 3.3 patch affected your class.  We need everyone on top of their game for 25man on Sunday.

Last night we attempted our first (heroic) Trial of the Grand Crusader 10 man.  It turned out to be a full clear with only 9 wipes.  We even earned the "A Tribute to Skill" achievement!

Last night was our first ever full clear of 3 separate instances, and we even did it all in one night.  All three runs went smoothly, great work.  450 triumph emblems pumped into the guild in one night!

VolckerToC: Faction Champions and Twin Valk'yr down!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the guild's first kills of these bosses last night!  

Execution on the Faction Champions was particularly impressive: in addition to Tal and Dark locking down the healers, I saw several others pull out all the stops: Myttens death gripping the warrior away from the group, Darrious spell-stealing the paladin's Hand of Protection, Nayla using her Voidwalker to distract mobs ... and I'm sure I missed many more in all the confusion.

Excellent work!

Tonight's 10-man group took out General Vezax after many attempts (including a 2% attempt) over the course of 2 hours.

The team was Talis, Volcker, Nooman, Kasley, Saralanna, Pawel, Volkyn, Darrious, Effer, and Lethor.

We also got a look at Phase 1 of Yogg - this is going to be a pretty crazy fight.

Mimiron-10 down for the first time! We got some attempts on General Vezax and got him to about 50%...he's a bit crazy for the healers and is going to require a little more work.

Some new rules have been posted under Loot Policy:

We will be gathering Runed Orbs into groups of 6, and then passing out the whole lot to someone.  To qualify for rolling on Runed Orbs, you must:
- Be present on the appropriate character when the 6th orb drops
- Need an item for your main set that can be crafted by a guild or alliance member
- Be able to acquire all the other mats and make the item within a day

Guild first kill of Kologarn in heroic last night - let's get another guild first on Thursday!  Also got a few attempts on Auriya, those cats are vicious.

Additionally, this past week the "Black" run got all the way up to Mimiron on 10 man, with guild-first kills on Hodir, Thorim, and Freya.

Update: It sounds like another group got Hodir a couple weeks ago.  That's exactly why I wanted to start posting these things in the news. :)

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the guides section.  We already have a lot of really useful guides up, including 4 of mine (rogue, prot warr, fury warr, shadow priest), several by Erythmene, a couple by Vespra, and one by Volkyn.

If you're an expert on your spec, please do some additional research and add a quality guide.  We'll all benefit from having a central source for all our curious raiders.

Hopefully people are starting to get more comfortable with the site.

I wanted to take a moment to talk about that link you see up in the top right.  It's called "edit mode", and it's used to toggle yourself between editing and viewing mode on the site.

Essentially "viewing mode" is a pared-down version of the site that hides a lot of the buttons you don't really want to see all the time.  When you want to do something advanced, click "edit mode" and you'll start seeing a lot more options (depending on what permissions you have).
